Our Review:
The Proform 10.0 CE elliptical is one of the more affordable Proform crosstrainers in the current lineup.
While it's new this year, it does carry some of the more popular features with buyers - one of which is that it folds up.
The base and pedals fold up easily to save you floor space - so if you're in a condo or apartment - or just have a smaller workout area, this might be a great option for you.
The Proform 10.0 CE elliptical also comes iFit LIVE compatible - so you can connect it to the Internet using the wireless in your home. From there you can download new workouts to keep you challenged, map out new trails to cover or track your fitness stats over time.
You also get an iPod dock with speakers to listen to your favorite workout tunes - and a 18 built-in workout programs.
Another handy option is the adjustable stride. Stride length is the furthest distance between the pedals and different stride lengths will work different lower body muscle groups.
You can select a 16, 18 or 20" stride. This also makes it a good choice for multiple user families as everyone can choose the right stride for them (although unless you're under 5'3", the 16" stride may feel a little short for you.)
The console itself is smaller but still backlit and readable. It gives you a constant display of your speed, time, distance, pulse, resistance and calories burned.
Any drawbacks?
While the price is great, this is still a basic, starter elliptical. It's fairly simple and isn't going to give you the quality of construction of a commercial unit.
